First Day of School!

Sophia survived her first 2 days of school including the 45min bus ride home. She has a pretty long day for barely 5. She gets on the bus at 8:2o aand doesn't get home til 4:30pm. The first day she learned that she doesn't like the school lunch, and today she said she learned how to jump rope and that bears hibernate. She doesn't say too much but she says its "good." She talks about 2 boys a lot but doesn't remember any of the girl's names. There are only 6 other girls in her class while there's 12 boys. Maybe she'll become a tomboy this year ?
This afternoon she fell asleep on the bus coming home and had to be woken up when she got to the stop : ) On the walk back to our house she asked why she has to go to school everyday. I was suprised that question came so soon but overall I think she's doing ok.
Logann and I are enjoying our time together this week. Feels very strange when we leave Sophia in the morning but I'm sure we'll get use to it. Logann doesn't start preschool til Friday so we've been playing and spending lots of quality time together. Its amazing how different kids are without their siblings. I'm learning a lot more about Logann already.

the first day i had to get on the bus to find sophia a seat. she ran right up the steps with no fear but kinda freaked not knowing where to sit. they are the last stop so the bus is packed, i wanted to make sure she wasn't in the back of the bus where all the bad stuff happens : ) of course being the nerd i am i had to snap a picture too, i'm sure the bus driver loved me.

Wow Christa - it doesn't seem possible does it? She's so grown up. I love the photo of her and John walking. Does Logann miss her during the day? I hope you've got your bottle of wine all ready for next week when she starts preschool. :)

I am so glad that she did well. It is such a long day for them! I loved all the pics and no I don't think your a nerd taking her pic on the bus...I made Keaton take a pic with his teacher. Probably the last year I'll get him to agree to that, let alone let me walk him to his classroom! :)

Awww...absolutely precious. She looks SO young still, but yet so big girlish. LOVE the story about her falling asleep on the bus. It is a long day for a 5 year old :)
